Fly Ash Bricks
Our Bricks are manufactured using Fly Ash (a waste material from thermal power plant), Stone Dust, and Cement (OPC Grade). Their manufacturing eliminates Fly Ash from the environment as a pollutant and at the same time provides a green building material to the construction industry.
There is a big market for these bricks; the only thing required is awareness about its benefits. Even, the government is supporting its production and use in building construction, construction of pavements, dams, tanks, under waterworks, canal lining, irrigation work, etc.
Advantages of Fly Ash Bricks:
High Compression Strength:
Fly Ash Bricks have dense composition and high compressive strength which gives them higher load bearing capacity as compared to clay bricks. Also, they have almost nil wastage during transportation.
Fly Ash Bricks are 12% lighter as compared to clay bricks. Therefore, it is suitable for multi-storey building; lesser weight means reduction in building's dead load, and thus less stress on building, safety assured.
Uniform Size & Shape:
Fly Ash Bricks are uniform in shape and size (9 x 4.25 x 3 inches) and have a far better finish as compared to clay bricks whose shape and size varies as they are handmade.
Fly Ash Bricks are manufactured through an automated process which control the raw material ratios, uniform mixing, uniform and specified pressing loads which assures consistency in brick quality.
Fly Ash Bricks have better thermal insulation than clay bricks. They don't absorb heat; rather, they reflect heat. Therefore, they keep the interiors of buildings/houses cooler even in summer; hence they are more suitable for local conditions and can help to save on electricity bill.
Optimum Water Absorption:
They are less porous, absorbs less water, whereas burnt clay bricks absorbs more water during construction. Therefore, they help in water saving during construction and reduce chances of dampness on walls during rainy season. Fly Ash Bricks have optimum water absorption of about 12-13% required for plastering unlike cement bricks that have water absorption of about 5-6%, thus making them difficult for plastering.
Ease of Working:
Owing to its optimum strength, Fly Ash Bricks can be drilled, sawed, nailed and chiseled very conveniently with both manual and power driven tools without chipping or cracking, unlike cement bricks which cannot be drilled or chiselled using manual tools and gets cracked because of its unusually high compressive strength.
Fly Ash Bricks are twice better in noise insulation than clay bricks.
Fly Ash bricks are environment friendly as it is a 100% green building product. Their process of manufacturing is less energy intensive as compared to clay bricks. They help in keeping environment clean as they use Fly Ash (more than 50% of its weight), thus provides the most constructive solution to nation's Fly Ash utilization problem.
With solid wall construction and finishes, there are fewer, if any, cavities for insects and rodents to dwell in. Being made of inorganic materials, Fly Ash bricks do not promote growth of molds & pests.

- High demand for clay bricks would result in their price hike. To keep the cost of building materials in reasonable range, the construction industry should opt in for alternative building materials like Fly Ash bricks.
- Making use of Fly Ash bricks or other alternative building materials could slow down the rate of deforestation. Every year, a vast area of forest is destroyed in search of soil for caly brick manufacturing.
- Clay bricks are manufactured using old outdated technology and no quality testing facilities are available at manufacturing site. Most bricks which are manufactured using outdated technology are inferior in quality with low compressive strength. They are not suitable for multi-storey buildings.

The current Fly Ash industry in India is about 163 million tonnes. This comprises the 12,000 existing units that are catering to the demand. Since the growth of the industry has been exponential till now, it can lead to a phenomenal growth of 50,000 units in the next ten years. Looking at the current growth, the market is expected to grow five times in the next decade.
